A former plumbing corporation district manager and inspector, Randy is FHA/HUD 203(k) certified and holds certifications in infrared thermal imaging. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and former Department of Defense employee, offering year-round military discounts as a token of appreciation for service. Known for his professionalism, clarity, and accuracy, Randy enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and living in Idaho.

Michele brings over 40 years of expertise in the real estate industry, having founded, grown, and successfully sold multiple companies. A three-time Fortune 500 Marketing Director, she has led high-level marketing initiatives that earned her recognition in top real estate industry publications.

Renowned for her strategic vision and skill as an expert negotiator, Michele excels in crafting impactful marketing campaigns, promotions, press releases, lead generation strategies, and innovative business concepts.

Today, she serves as the Director of Marketing for both Randy Funk Home Inspections and the Idaho Association of Home Inspectors, where her guidance provides a powerful foundation for professionals seeking to launch and grow successful businesses.

Mike Larango

Mr. Larango, Vice President and Manager of Field Operations for Royal Inspection Company and Summit Environmental, Inc., brings over 24 years of construction and environmental experience, including 16 years in building inspections. He specializes in commercial and residential inspections, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, groundwater monitoring, health and safety oversight, contractor supervision, multi-media sampling, microbial evaluations, and indoor air quality assessments.

Emergency response trained, he holds credentials as a Registered Industrial Hygiene Technologist (RIHT), Certified Real Estate Inspector (CRI), and Certified Microbial Investigator (CMI). Mr. Larango is an active member of the Idaho Association of Home Inspectors, National Association of Home Inspectors, American Indoor Air Quality Association, and the Association of Professional Industrial Hygienists.

As a trusted member of Randy Funk Home Inspections and the Idaho Association of Home Inspectors, Randy provides clients with the confidence and clarity they need when making one of life’s biggest decisions—buying a home.

Dedicated to giving back, Randy actively mentors aspiring inspectors, even helping a teen launch a career in the field. As a teen, he served for several years as the Youth Arts Commissioner for the City of Meridian.

Randy has also spearheaded numerous community initiatives, including multiple food drives for the Meridian Food Bank and organizing Idaho’s largest food and sock drives for the Boise Rescue Mission—an effort he led for 11 consecutive years.

Troy Thompson founded Nook and Kranny Home Inspections in 1996. He has over 10 inspectors on staff servicing Southern Idaho. Previous to home inspections, Troy worked as a plumber. He has been married for 26 years and is the father of 3 boys. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, camper, and outdoorsman. Troy also enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.

Originally from Wyoming, Alex now serves as an inspector for Randy Home Inspections, delivering thorough, reliable evaluations that help clients make confident property decisions.
